This piece of artwork was used for the band, Oceano on their 2010 release, "Contagion". 3 pieces of artwork in this theme were done for the album and this one was chose for the cover. The theme of the album is that of corrupt agents in positions of power purposefully unleashing a massive virus onto the human race. 

I felt really passionate about this concept, as viral outbreak movies and comics are some of my favorite forms of entertainment. Something several people have picked out is that it looks rather oldschool in style and this was completely intentional. I wanted the vibe of something such as Ed Repka's "Leprosy" painting for Death as that artist is a major influence of mine. The interior and tracklisting artwork continue the same vein and show the contagion spreading while sinister men in haz-mat suits attempt to contain what they created in the first place.
