Dawn Under Eclipse gave me a RARE opportunity with this painting: free reign!

They mentioned that they wanted a fleshless figure floating in space and behind the figure they wanted planets with eyeballs on them. But that was pretty much all I had to go on. I didn't think that their music suited a full-blown gore cover, so I decided against a "fleshless man" ala Hellraiser, but I tried to keep the feel of it with this entity.

A lot of people ask me what my motivations and idea behind this piece is. I certainly do have a story to tell, but I like to keep it private because I think it ruins some of the mystery. If you ever see me at a convention, feel free to ask. But until then...you'll have to form your own ideas behind it.
